Our Blind Spots series showcases our first time watches of films that one or both of us should have seen by now. For this episode, we have a triple feature of horror from the 70’s, 80’s, and 2010’s. First is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which Patrick has somehow not seen until now. We can his fresh perspectives and first impressions of this all-time classic. Next up is a movie that Dan has somehow never caught, Near Dark, directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Point Break, The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) about vampire drifters who traverse the highways of the mid-west hunting their prey. It also stars Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen, and Jeanette Goldstein of Aliens and the Terminator Franchise fame. We finish off the Blind Spots portion with Mike Flanagan’s Stephen King adaptation, Gerald’s Game, a story of a woman who becomes trapped, handcuffed to a bed in an isolated cabin, when her husband has a heart attack at a very inopportune time, leave her vulnerable to unknown elements around her.

We then dive into our thoughts on The Oscars 2025 ceremony, Mickey 17, the latest movie news, and our Quentin Tarantino themed Physical Media Showcase.
