E12: Echo Review & The State of the MCU

Julian joins me as guest host once again to review Marvel’s Echo series and to consider the current state of the MCU. We spend the bulk of the episode breaking down what we liked most about Echo and how it connects to the rest of the MCU with an emphasis on what it means for representation within the Native American and deaf communities.
Following this, we go on a couple tangents of Beta Ray Bill, Jason Statham’s Beekeeper, and even Aliens 3. Then, the rest of the episode is on the current state of the MCU and what we expect next including Daredevil: Born Again, Devil’s Reign, Deadpool 3, and Spider-Man 4 rumors and theories. The topic of the struggle of recent Marvel Disney+ shows She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, Loki, and WandaVision comes up as well, and we hypothesize the root-cause of these struggles.
The final big news item is Marvel’s / Netflix’s Defenders Saga officially rejoining the MCU after years of confusion over whether they were considered canon or not. This topic leads the remainder of our discussion on what we’re looking forward to and what we think will come next.
